I hope everyone has had a great weekend. The rainy day yesterday made for a nice rest day. We have a big week in front of us. This is one of the events we have been working for all year. We are taking a huge number of athletes, so let's show up with strength and confidence and see what we can get done.

The schedule for the week is as follows:

5/5-Monday- Possible rain, 66. Practice 3:15-5:00. This will be a tune up day. Some events may finish early. Sprint relays will be working hand offs.

5/6-Tuesday- Sunshine, 76. (It will be a cool start to the day, upper 50's so any athlete in earlier events may want to be prepared for cool weather). SHOWTIME!!! Sectional Championships at Rockvale High School. Athletes that are riding the bus need to be at the CHS Track by 7:00 a.m. to depart by bus at 7:15. We will arrive at Rockvale a little before 9:00.
Schedule-
10:00- Girls Pole Vault
11:00- Girls Triple Jump / Boys High Jump
12:00- All other field events-(First round- Girls Disc, Boys Shot, Boys Long)
2:00- Rolling Schedule will begin with the MIxed 4x400, followed by the 4x800 girls/boys. This should go quickly as there are only 16 athletes in each running event.

You may leave as soon as you are finished competing for the day. We will have some snacks and waters for the athletes, but it would be great if families could bring some extra snacks (granola bars, PB crackers, fruit gummies, etc.) for the athletes at the tent. Some of our athletes will be at this meet competing for a long time and it would be great if we could have snacks for them to keep their energy up.

If you are riding with your parents, please plan to arrive at least 1 hour prior to your event. Be sure you know the location address and leave travel time for traffic issues.
