I am so proud of all of you, all our athletes and coaches. Yesterday was an extremely tough meet with the best athletes from every large school from Murfreesboro to Chattanooga and you all battled. We had many personal and season best performances and everyone lined up and gave it their best shot. Be proud of that.

I want to congratulate the athletes that made it through, now we have to focus on what is coming and make sure you are prepared, mind and body. We also had so many athletes that were right on the line, 5th/6th, even though you are not satisfied with that, it is still a fantastic performance. To even score points with the top 8 in a meet like this is an honor.

I want to thank everyone, every member of our team for making this such a fantastic season this year. You are all great young men and women that have been a tremendous amount of fun to be around. I had two people yesterday tell me how upstanding our athletes were and how much fun it looked like they were having, enjoying being there and being with each other. One was a coach from another team and the other was a TSSAA official.

To our seniors, thank you for choosing to be part of Cavalier Track and Field. Your choice to be part of this team has made us better, stronger. I have loved getting to know each one of you and you will all be missed.

Thank you all so much for everything.
Now let’s focus on finishing this as strong as we can and bring fitting close to such a fantastic year.
